  • I've found that each "no-kill" shelter is different. Some are great (and don't deserve your unilateral dismissal), others are not.

  • The idea is well intentioned, but shelters are impoverished. Who is going to absorb the cost of these sprinkler systems? Is the cost of installing sprinkler systems in every shelter in America really justified, when fires like this are so rare?

  • Vets get sued, but much more rarely. Malpractice insurance is only a fraction of what a human doctor's is. Let's hope it stays that way. It's better for doctors, better for patients, better for owner's pocketbooks.

  • This is disgusting - the company did not cause this problem, the nurse that administered the medication did. Stop abusing our court systems! Find other avenues to achieve the change you perceive is needed.

  • Get off your high horse! We should all be so giving, so kind, as to adopt a child regardless of where they come from. An American child is no "better" or more "beautiful" than an Ethiopian child (and vis versa).
